INJURY UP-DATE AND MORE POST SATURDAY COMMENTS

Normally the international weekend can be frustrating for players and teams who are establishing some form. This next half term arrives at a good time for Saints. Paul Bernard, Brian McLaughlin and Mark Reilly all sustained injuries last week, but with a free Saturday, there is a good chance they will be ready for the Ross County clash in Dingwall.

On the injury front Billy Stark said

Perthshire Picture Agency
"Paul Bernard should be fit for our next game against Ross County, and if Brian McLaughlin manages to return to light training by the end of the week he would have a good chance as well. The break will also help Mark Reilly, who didn’t train at all last week and took an injection to play, and Mark Robertson, who picked up a knock on Saturday."

On Saturday’s result he further commented;

"We threw away two points, it’s as simple as that. To lose a goal so late on is galling and we keep finding new ways of losing stupid goals."

"Peter’s suffered because he hasn’t had games and adrenaline kept him going at Falkirk. He justified his selection again though at the weekend."

This evening Saints play Forfar in the Reserve League East at McDiarmid at 7-30.
