McInnes happy with a point

St Johnstone manager Derek McInnes felt a draw was a fair result as his men shared two goals with St Mirren, but was slightly frustrated his side did not claim all three points. Michael Higdon claimed an equaliser for St Mirren, although their was some doubt if it was an own goal by Dave Mackay, who had put St Johnstone ahead. "I thought we were fairly comfortable at half-time and it was pretty even at the start of the second half," McInnes said. "Credit to them, their changes forced us to go a wee bit deeper for a 10-minute period and we could have lost the game in that spell. "But then we bounced back and showed a bit of belief, which we keep trying to get into the players. "We picked the game up and in the end we're disappointed not to win it because we had a couple of good chances towards the end."
