With the barometer rising over McDiarmid Park, Billy Stark was outspoken about how dissatisfied he was with the performance. This is the first time he has spoken negatively about the team in his two year managerial career at Perth . Glen Hoddle received his P45 last night, and rapidly Stark is losing support amongst sections of the fans.

He said that;

"You would struggle to find players who got pass marks. They need to look at themselves in terms of taking responsibility in games. As far as I’m concerned the squad of players who are here are not doing themselves justice just now. That’s something we have to address as a body and individually."

Mark Reilly, the Saints captain, also commented after the match;

"He said in the dressing room that he’s never before come out and individually or collectively had a go at the players," At the end of the day the manager can only do so much for us. The quality in training is really good and we prepare well but you can’t legislate for a performance like that, it just wasn’t good enough.

"Our second-half performance was especially terrible. With the type of player we have here we shouldn’t be producing displays like that. We’ve got four players who have played at international level and we should be doing so much better. It’s just not acceptable."
