Despite an inconsistent start to his career in Perth, John Robertson's ability is now shining through. He mitigated that moving his family North to Perth had not been a success, and now having returned to Kilmarnock he is happier;

"I found it hard to settle in Perth and I certainly wasn't producing the consistency of performance I wanted to. I don't know if moving back to Kilmarnock has helped my form but I'm definitely happier around familiar faces."

Despite eleventh hour attempts by Stark to fill the void left by McCLuskey, such attempts were in vain. As a result Robertson may find himself being picked at centre back more frequently. He proved to the fans on Saturday that he has the ability to perform in the central role, and he lamented on his experience of playing "half my final season with Ayr in central defence." With Maxwell still recovering with flu, Robertson may start the game in this role.

Tonights game will present an interesting examination of the Perth team. The previous performance was not that of a championship side. Perhaps tonight Saints will be more convincing. Although, the Paisley version did beat Clyde 2-1 at the weekend. However, they were playing against a Clyde team weakened by absence of their centre backs.

Injury wise, Bernard has a slight groin strain, which could make way for Mark Robertson to play. For the other Saints old friends Twaddle and Lavety are in line for a start.

Finally, Mark Ferry is still with Saints after refusing the Montrose loan switch.
