St Johnstone boss Derek McInnes has signed Cleveland Taylor on a one-year deal, the Perth club`s official website has revealed.

The 26 year-old winger has spent his career south of the border, notably with Scunthorpe United and Carlisle United, and was watched extensively by the Saints management team recently.

The player was with Brentford last season but spent much of the campaign on loan at Burton Albion who were also keen to obtain his services.

McInnes will be looking for Taylor to fill the gap left by the departed Filipe Morais.
