Taylor excited by new challenge

Cleveland Taylor is looking to get his career back on track at St Johnstone. Perth boss Derek McInnes signed the 26-year-old winger on a one-year deal having been released by Brentford. Taylor revealed he opted to make the journey north after speaking to Scott Dobie, former team-mate at Carlisle, who has also signed for the McDiarmid Park club. "It's great to get the deal done and out of the way and I can concentrate on getting my career back on track," Taylor told Saints' official website. "I was made aware of the manager's interest a couple of weeks ago and I spoke to Scott Dobie who is one of my best friends and he has played a big part in persuading me to join St Johnstone. "Scott had apparently spoken highly of me to Derek McInnes but wasn't sure if I would be willing to come up to Scotland."
