It was back to training yesterday following Saturday’s debacle. Billy Stark now has the task of lifting the players again, and re-mounting the push for promotion.
"The players are a bit down as it was a pretty big defeat. However, that is part of football. We had gone on a good run (nine games unbeaten) but it had to finish some time. It was a poor day and now we need to pick it up again and start trying to put another run together. Of course 4-0 is a bad result but it is still very close and there are still a few teams—including us—who could see a good result on Saturday putting them top. We did not really give ourselves much of a chance, although I thought the sending-off was harsh at the time and, having seen it on TV, I still think it was harsh. Unfortunately that is just the way it goes sometimes and we will have to make sure we respond positively."
Mark Robertson, is still sidelined, and is not expected back well into the week.
The reserves won 4-0 against Cowdenbeath reserves last night. Parker and Hay both scored and Ryan Stevenson bagged a brace.
